Literacy Council Spelling Bee

The Shores favorite adults-only spelling bee is happening on April 11, 2014 at the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club. If you are reading this, think of those who are unable to. Be at the ESYCC to support this Eastern Shore Literacy Council fund raiser. Tickets are available at the Book Bin, Sun-Dial Books, Runningers, H&H pharmacies and all Rayfields pharmacies.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

March 16, 2014 is the day for O'Nancock's inaugural St. Patrick's Day Parade in Onancock, VA. Come celebrate with us here at Bay View Waterfront B&B just 20 minutes from downtown Onancock. Bagpipers, marching units and more will be joining the parade, and Onancock will be decked out and ready to welcome the Irish spirit within us.

“Miracle on 34^th Street” is coming to North Street Playhouse in Onancock on Dec. 7, 8 & 9. Call 757-787-2050 for tickets and more information. Dec. 8, is also Onancock’s Open House tour and music festival at Cokesbury Church.

We visited most of the open studios and wineries over the weekend. Friday was beautiful with wonderful outdoor presentations. Saturday and Sunday brought colder temperatures, but still a good time. We made several purchases and had a great time looking and visiting.  Amazing talent on the Eastern Shore. We are planning to do most of our Christmas shopping at home and hope you will also. So many choices right here as well as good visits with local merchants.

10^th annual Open Studio & Vineyard Tour. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend from 10 to 5 each day. This annual event features Eastern Shore wineries and 26 artisans on location.
